First you will need to submit a few questions to them so they can make sure that you are a good writer. According to their FAQs page this is what they are looking for:
“We would like you to submit at least 5 original trivia questions including factoids with those questions. Use ONLY ONE of the available categories that will be listed in the category selection drop down form on our "Question Submission System" inside of Trivia Wars.
o All 5 questions must be in the same category.
o You must always use full names in questions and factoids.
o You can not use phrases like he, she, they, the song, the band, etc.... in the factoids, factoids must be complete stand-alone statements written so that if it is read all by itself it makes complete sense and is not dependent on the question being there.
o Factoids and questions can not be written so they will become outdated and wrong as time passes and new events occurs.
o Factoids must include NEW INFORMATION so that it is not just a restatement of the facts in the question and answer.
o All Answers Must Be Written In Title Case Just Like This Sentence. Questions and Factoids follow standard sentence rules.
o You must proof your questions once you write them to correct all misspellings and typos and errors”
After submitting your questions you can expect to hear a response within 24 – 72 hours.
They highly suggests ;laying at least 50 rounds of their totally free trivia games before you submit your questions.it is also true that playing the game will help you realize exactly what kinds of questions they are looking for and it also helps you understand how the questions will be used. Plus it will give you some new ideas.
In addition to playing the game a few times you choose a category of interest. This is going to be your specialty and your questions will be based on the category you have selected. Some category examples are food and drink, music, sports, etc.
